lesurister-life: About My Trip to Italy

I had been always dreaming to visit this country of love and music, to see Venice, Rom and to keep the emotions all my life.

Well, I’ve bought a touristic trip to Rimini. I decided to have some rest near the sea, to have fun at night clubs, to taste some traditional food and to take a couple of excursions to see Rome and Venice. I have a friend in travel agency Megapolus. So she helped me to organize everything. And I also chose the flight from Nizhniy Novgorod not to waste my precious time)

Well, here is the chronology of my unforgettable vacation week!

15.08.2010 Sunday I arrived to Nizhniy Novgorod airport at 15.00. The flight was to be at 17.00. But the flight was delayed because of weather conditions (forest fires in Russia caused a lot of terrible smoke). The plain couldn’t land and went to Kazan instead of Nizhniy Novgorod. So, I had a good time in the airport. We were given some food and drinks, went to a cafe. I met two nice girls 29 and 25 years old and we continued our trip together.

16.08.2010Monday Finally we flight away at 1.00 at night. So I lost some my precious time. May be I’d better go through Moscow. We arrived to Rimini airport at 3.00 in the morning local time. Then we were transported to our hotels by bus. It’s important to say that our operator was Pac group, in my opinion a very responsible company. I arrived at my hotel San Remo, but surprisingly I was sent to another one Brooklyn. It turned out that Brooklyn was much better than San Remo. So I was lucky. I lived in a big room, with good furniture and nice view from the window. They send me into this hotel because the rooms were occupied in San Remo because of crazy holiday time in Italy and as our flight had been delayed the hotel proprietor decided to gain more money from our prepaid rooms. These are Italians, they are not always nice. So I advise you to read attentively about hotels before going to Italy. There are not quite of good quality. I was happy to have a nice hotel. So remember its name – BROOKLYN. As for other girls, they went to an awful hotel MIRADOR. This hotel has a very bad reputation among Rimini hotels. The main reason it’s propriety of Poland people. And they are not always happy to see Russians)) no one speaks English or Russian in this hotel, the food is bad, the service is even worse.

Well, I spent the first day on the beach and in restaurant in the evening. The food is delicious in restaurants, the wine is tasty, and the portions are immense.

17.08.2010 Tuesday I woke up at 4.15 in the morning to go for the excursion to Venice. I took us about 3 hours to get to Venice. Firstly we went by bus and then continued our trip by boat. Well, it’s impossible to describe Venice in words. I will attach some pictures. The city is ancient and mysterious and of course beautiful. There is no disgusting smell (I’ve read that some people think it smells in Venice). The buildings are old and tatty but this brings you into ancient epoch and gives you inspiration. I can frankly tell you that I’m in love with Venice and certainly I have a great desire to come back. Of course if you are in Venice you should take a trip in gondola to feel this city. I was shocked when learned some details about gondolas. It takes nearly 3 years to construct such a boat and it consists of 8 types of wood and 180 different parts. The cost of gondola is 70000 – 90000$.

And don’t forget to take your credit card) the city is very expensive. The most expensive city in Italy.

18.08.2010 Wednesday Morning in a very nice restaurant with WiFi. It’s surprising but in Italy (Rimini) there is a kind of problem with internet access. In some hotels there is no internet, and when you ask about internet in cafes and restaurants very often people are quite surprised. But you don’t think about internet when you eat their delicious pizza and pasta. The name of my favorite café is Auriga (like IT company in NN). The rest of the day – shopping, beach, disco in the evening. There was a very nice and cozy night club near to my hotel – Carnaby. I liked much disco in Italy. It’s forbidden to smoke in clubs, so in contrast to Russian clubs you don’t have to breathe the disgusting cigarette smell. There are 3 dance floors with different type of music. And, the most essential part – there are many many handsome boys! About 5 boys for each girl))) So, you will really have a very good time there.

19.08.2010 Tuesday The trip to Rom. Frankly speaking it was really wearily. We were too tires after the trip. We walked a lot, saw many places and buildings. The Rome is too overcrowded, the tourists are everywhere. But still I’m happy, I’ve seen the famous things like Coliseum, Pantheon, Parliament building, many fountains, churches, Vatican with its St. Peter Cathedral and Michelangelo works inside. The Rome is immense, proud of itself! It’s impossible to describe with simple words, so just see the pictures after the article.

On our way back we had supper in a medieval restaurant. The food was made according to some very secret medieval receipts. And of course a lot of tasty wine.

20.08.2010 Friday Day of the rest after Rome trip. I went to historical part of Rimini, saw the central street which is something like our Pokrovka, but longer and more beautiful. Of course – beach, restaurants and beach party at night. Rimini is the city of parties.

21.08.2010 Morning beach. And the rest of the day we spent in a park Italy in Miniature where we saw all Italy attractions. It was quite difficult to get there because some buses in Italy go once in an hour. The bus system is interesting. There are no stops names, only colored lines and bus stops numbers. Unusual for us.

That day I decided not to sleep as it was the last day in Italy. So in the evening I met a girl from Moscow, we went to a restaurant, had some pizza, much wine and ice cream. Then we went to Carnaby, had some crazy cocktails, then night beach and some more wine…

22.08.2010 Finally I arrived to the hotel at 7 o’clock in the morning and my bus to airport was to be at 8)) so I had 1 hour to pack my bag and to get ready. Well, I slept like a child in the plane.
